Pineapples!

So.... I reached a new milestone in my life today. I purchased and cut up my very own pineapple. I would tell you how I did it, but the guy at the pineapple-cutting website told me I had to keep it a secret. And he seemed to mean business. I'm pretty sure he will find me and kill me for spilling the pineapple-cutting secrets.

So... Update on Final Mix. I now have a silver crown and Xaldin's my bitch. All that's left is the Lingering Sentiment which promises to be very difficult and take a long time. So. That's on hold because I sprained my thumb doing the data battles.

Now we're into Final Fantasy XIII which is absolutely freaking awesome. And full of win.

Now I'm going to go eat some more pineapple.

Later.

Lately I have been reading a lot of shoujo manga. So far my favorite is 7th Period is a Secret. Which is depressing, because it's so short. But I like the art and the story's pretty cute. I think it took me 15 minutes to read it. I don't know. But it was real quick.

I also liked Aishiteruze Baby and Ai Hime ~ Ai to Himegoto.

I honestly can't stand reading the manga though. I like it, but then I have really weird sappy dreams. But, at least the dreams are better than the nightmare I had last week....more on that in a bit. First I have to make the comment that I have to read manga because I am out of books and fanfiction and my stupid fangirl mind is going insane. I seriously think I'm going to explode from all of the crazyness in my head.

Which brings me back to the nightmare.

It all started out innocently enough. I was at work. Which, for the purposes of my dream, was Starbucks. I was moving between two in-store kiosks, trying to make sure that everyone was doing their job. Because I was taskmaster, the master of tasks. Eventually it was time for me to go home. I went over to the main kiosk to grab my stuff and was then informed that I had to stay for a meeting. I thought, well that sucks, but it shouldn't take too long, right? Wrong. Apparently Josh (who I love and would never ever stay mad at for long) had written the packet for the meeting. It was about 50 pages thick. I was really upset and kinda pouty. But there was a video screen that had the meeting video on it. I turned to watch the video.

And that's when things got REALLY weird.

So, on the screen was this giant tree. And when I say giant, I mean Doom Tree from Sailor Moon R. It might have been a bit taller, but it's that same basic sillhouette. Anyway, this guy, who looked like Alucard from Hellsing was holding an umbrella and just cackling. Then the camera panned up from the ground and you could see his collection. It was dead bodies. They were all posed and rotted and really creepy. Some of them were on swings and holding little parasols. It was actually kind of strange.

Needless to say, I woke up crying.

So. Other than reading manga and having terrifying dreams, I've been watching the BBC a lot. I love Cash in the Attic and the Antiques Roadshow. I also enjoy the Robin Hood series. Cause it's full of hot guys.

I also tried watching Primeval because Andrew-Lee Potts was in it, but it looks kinda gay so far. I'll still watch it though. That's how I do.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ (from here on after referred to as Final Mix) is eating my soul. I have been playing it for about 55 hours now. I am at the point where I can fight the final boss. I have my Ultima weapon, I've defeated all but two of the XIII Mushrooms and all of the Absent Sillhouettes. I even did all of the mini-games (yes... even the ones in twilight town) without Fenrir. I'm only level 77, so I have some levelling and data battles and final bosses and coliseums to complete and then you can call my jiminy memo COMPLETE.

I will keep you posted. Because I know you are waiting...with bated breath.

Ja!

Blog Update!

So.... today is January 20th. And that's pretty cool.

A few updates: My Final form is now at level seven. Which means that I can now go around collecting things for my synthesis collection list. I have decided that I will most likely finish the journal. Cause I'm insane. As if critical mode wasn't enough.

Also, nothing else is really happening. I get to sleep in tomorrow which is awesome. And I also got my hair cut which is also cool.

The End.

Theme

A theme for this blog is becoming more and more apparent to me....

It seems to be stories about my failures. Anyone who reads this will think that I am a complete nutjob.

Which may or may not be true.

Approximately 2 weeks till I hear back from JET. I'm starting to get nervous. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna get in. But at least I applied. And that's the first step to going anywhere, right?

Mutant Ability

As an aside....

My mutant ability is to be able to pick random people out of movies or tv shows and name what other shows they have been in.

For example:

I was watching Josie and the Pussycats. And at the beginning, when they talk about Du Jour, I saw one of the screaming fans. And he was talking about how Du Jour was (were) his homies and some such nonsense. I recognized him and discovered that he was Goku in Dragonball Evolution. Pretty sweet, huh?

And I bet you didn't know that Elizabeth Banks was in Spiderman, did you? I did. I do. Right now I know that.

Blackened..........lungs????

Tonight I cooked blackened chicken alfredo. I have been trying to broaden my horizons and learn how to cook different and new things. I love cajun spices and I love alfredo sauce, so I decided that a mixture of the two would be absolutely amazing. And I was right. It tasted awesome. But that isn't the point of the story. The point is that I almost killed us (and, by us I mean me and Chris and Paul) while I was trying to cook it.

To completely understand the situation, you have to understand that I have never ever blackened anything. The recipe I was using told me that the first thing I had to do was blacken the chicken breasts after they had been 'dredged' through the delicious cajun spices. I assumed that meant that I put the chicken into the pan and cooked it. So I did that. And then I started to cough. It started smoking and the whole house was filled with smoke and I almost killed us.

The end result was good, though. After I aired out the living room, we were able to eat comfortably.

But, still, I'm totally retarded. I need to look up exactly how to blacken something.

Happy New Year!

So..... it's 2010. Which is apparently a new decade. I say apparently because I hear that the new Millennium didn't start until 2001, and now I seem to think that the new decade shouldn't start until 2011. I haven't told anyone this. And if I did, I'm sure I would be made fun of.

And now a few words from our Lauren:

2010. So many things I can say about 2010. First off I would like to thank Amanda for the drank.
Second I would like to thank Chris for humor.

THIRD, IT IS THE DECADE OF AMANDAREN.
fin.

Alright. So already it's been a CRAZY year. I sat and watched Solex play Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4) and, as such, I fell asleep. You should have too, because he is INCREDIBLY slow at playing that game. I love MGS4, and I am sad that Solex very nearly ruined it for me. We made it through Act II, which is good, although we should have made it through at least Act III.

Also tonight I went to Lauren's Dad's wedding. It was pretty cool. I told him that he couldn't come to our group renewal of the vows because he missed the window by about 16 hours. It sucks to be him.

Anyhow,

HAPPY 2010 TO EVERYONE!

I hope it doesn't suck too hard.

Love forever and Always,

Amanda (and Lauren)
